apologies for this post appearing late. I'm afraid I've been rather busy for most of my day with a colleague. We elected to visit the Jodrell Bank during the course of today, as we were curious as to whether or not their equipment would be of use to us. Of course, cooperating with The Agency has it's upsides, so if radio equipment does prove fruitful, such things shall be obtained. My colleague is a man named Brown, a psychiatrist who specialises in paediatrics. He is, of course, aware of my work with the Giant and has an excellent mind - he was the first to suggest the Giant may be a manifestation of our minds, and subsequently placed his afflicted patients on hallucinatory-inhibiting drugs. The results were... Mixed. Regardless, my job is to post my research, not speak highly of a close personal friend...
Abilities:
Can appear and disappear at will, moving through space and thus most likely through time freely.
Can cause others to appear and disappear as above stated, possibly displacing them in time.
Telekinesis(?), attacking people with it's mind alone, no physical contact required (this is according to a "meat puppet"/"hallowed" formerly under it's control. Since deceased.)
Pyrokinesis/use of physical firestarting techniques have been observed, usually after the Giant has finished with a victim, burning their home or place of work.
Mental "invasion" or perhaps mind control(?). The Giant is capable of slightly shifting the perception of humans in it's local vicinity to hide itself. It can invade victim's minds, making them irrational and under go psychosis. These "meat puppets" subsequently act by proxy for it, doing what can only be assumed to be It's "bidding". Unknown communication skills with the Entity.
Possible capacity for "possesion" temporairly - victims "burn out" and die before they ae of much use, perhaps something to do with such an alien mindset entering them. It is possible that The Giant is trying to construct or find the "perfect host".
CAUSES STRANGE BURNS OR ODD SENSATIONS ON CONTACT, VARIES FROM CASE TO CASE.
Capable of physical ineraction, frequently mutilating or disappearing those who it takes an interest in, with few escaping without mental or physical distress.
Either derives strength from the woods, or else prefers wooded areas in which to attack those running from it. Reasons unknown beyond speculation.
"Symptoms"
Hallucinations, coughing fits, occasional nosebleeds. These are consiered stage 1 of infection or exposure. Sometimes a combination, sometimes all symptoms, sometimes none.
Paranoia, occuring usually in stage 1 but sometimes not appearing until stage 2.
Hair loss, gaps in memory, heavier coughing fits resulting in oral release of blood or projectile vomit, occasionally a black mucus like substance. Cause unknown. Coughing and hair loss doesn't seem to be caused by any failure in bodily systems, though some medications are effective, usually those which can temporarily cause the Giant to back off. These are considered Stage 2 symptoms.
Stage three consists of psychosis, occasional self harm, depression and paranoia, and large portions of time lost. Victims usually abducted not long afterwards. Occasionally, it should be noted, victims lose skin cells along with hair, shedding large amounts of their outter skin. Cause unknown. Further investigation required.
